Great events next week on the future of Robson Square.
Next week, the Vancouver Public Space Network with the City of Vancouver looks back at the history of Robson Square and then looks forward at its future with two free events at the Vancouver Art Gallery.
Monday, October 15, 2012, see a screening of the film Chairs for Lovers followed by a panel discussion to set the context of how the block at the geographic centre of Vancouver’s downtown came to be.
Then, Wednesday, October 17, 2012, a series of short presentations will describe how this block has been used recently and how we can draw inspiration from other cities as we draw up plans for its future.
Register for each event at the links above.
Oh, and here’s a letter I signed with my fellow VancouverIsAwesome.com bloggers in support of turning the 800 block of Robson Square into a dedicated public plaza.
